Union Co. Teen Killed In Hit-And-Run Identified: Police
Rayan Bien-Aima, an 18-year-old Union County resident, was killed while trying to cross Route 1 in Linden this past April, police said.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — An 18-year-old Rahway resident, who was hit by a car while crossing Route 1 in Linden on April 25, was identified by the Linden Police Department on Monday.
Rayan Bien-Aima was killed in a hit-and-run incident that took place at the intersection with Aviation Plaza North in Linden at 11:15 p.m. that night, according to police.
Linden Police said the vehicle, believed to be a dark-colored coupe or sedan, fled the scene traveling north on Route 1.

Following the collision, Bien-Aima was rushed to Newark University Hospital with critical injuries, police said.
The crash remains under investigation by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau, and anyone with information is urged to contact Inv. Ryan Zaccaro at (908) 474-8505.

"Even the smallest bit of information could be the missing piece of the puzzle that brings Rayan's killer to justice," said Police Chief David Hart in a Facebook post. "Anyone with information about this incident is urged to come forward!"
Union County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that results in an indictment and conviction.
