Camden Board Drops Woodrow Wilson's Name From High School: Report
Woodrow Wilson HS will have a new name next school year after a community discourse about Wilson's "racist values," the report said.

CAMDEN, NJ — Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden will have a new name come next school year after a community discourse about the former president's "racist values," a report said.
More than 200 students voted on the final name to be Eastside High School, according to the report from NJ Advance Media. The school board approved the change Tuesday, with six board membersapproving and two voting against it, according to NJ.com.
The name change will be effective for next school year, according to the report.

The school district began its process to rename the building in June 2020, the report said. A Change.com petition was started in 2019 as well.
