Date Set For Collingswood Public Schools Strategic Plan Discussion
The Collingswood Public School District spent several months taking input from stakeholders, the district superintendent told Patch.
COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — The Collingswood Public School District's strategic plan for the future, which it calls Vision 2026, will be presented at the Board of Education's Monday meeting, a spokesperson for the district said.
The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. in All-Purpose Room at Zane-North School, according to the district's website.
District Superintendent Frederick McDowell declined to share details of Vision 2026's recommendations in an interview with Patch last month but did say funding for any of its approved recommendations will start to be funded in the schools' 2023-24 school budgets.

Vision 2026 contains input from a series of meetings and surveys that were conducted in the Collingswood Public Schools and Oaklyn Public School District, McDowell also said.
The meetings and surveys obtained input from teachers, staff, administrators, board members, business and community leaders, parents, students and faith-based groups and nonprofits in Collingswood and Oaklyn, he said in that interview.

There were "roughly 20+ one-on-one interviews, 111 individuals talking directly with facilitators with direct stakeholder engagement, and then almost 900 participants in the survey with a student population of 2,400," McDowell added. "In a district of our size ... we approached almost 50 percent participation in this process."
The details of Vision 2026 will be shared on the district's website after the school board meeting, the district spokesperson said.
