NJ Wrestling Tourney Brawl Leads To 2 Arrests: Report
The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association told Patch they are looking into the incident.
COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — A gym-clearing brawl broke out during a wrestling tournament in South Jersey over the weekend, reports said.
An NJ.com reporter witnessed the fight start at the end of the 190-pound championship bout on Saturday at Collingswood High School, with spectators and wrestlers both reportedly involved in the fray.
At least two people, including a parent, were taken out of the gym in handcuffs, according to NJ.com and the Asbury Park Press. The fight reportedly broke out between fans of St. John Vianney and West Deptford.

The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association told Patch they are looking into the altercation.
"We do not condone this type of behavior in any capacity," a spokesperson for the NJSIAA said. "As we assess the situation, we will provide an update as soon as more information becomes available.”

After the fight broke up, officials reportedly cleared the gym so the final four bouts could take place.
Collingswood Police and the Collingswood athletic director did not immediately reply to Patch's request for more information.
