Pennsauken Eyes State Funding For Municipal Pool Renovations
A public hearing is slated to take place next week regarding the township's application for state funding for the project. Here's the latest
PENNSAUKEN, NJ - Municipal officials in Pennsauken are seeking state funding to renovate the township pool complex on River Road, according to a notice published by the township on Friday.
Billed as a park development/historic preservation project, the full concept plan will be available for viewing during an upcoming public hearing, officials said.

Per state records, Pennsauken is eligible to receive state aid in fiscal year 2023 as an Urban Aid municipality and Adversely Stressed Overburdened Community in which at least 35 percent of the households qualify as low-income, at least 40 percent of the residents identify as minority or at least 40 percent of the households have limited English proficiency.

An in-person public hearing is set to take place on Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. at the Pennsauken Township Municipal Building for the public to learn more about the proposal and ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan.
