40-Year-Old Man From Union County Dead After Car Crash In Irvington

Two people were taken to the hospital.

IRVINGTON, NJ — A Union County man died on Sunday after a car crash in Irvington, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office Said.

At around 9:00 p.m., the driver of a Kia Telluride was traveling west along Lyons Avenue when they hit a Honda Civic. The Kia continued westbound onto a sidewalk and into a parking lot where it hit a parked car.

Nobody was in the parked car at the time. The Kia came to a stop after hitting a wall at 485 Lyons Ave.

The drivers of the Kia and Honda were both taken to Beth Israel Hospital.

Dwaine Harry, 40 of Roselle Park, was driving the Honda and died at the hospital, officials said.

The driver of the Kia was left with minor injuries.

The crash is still under review.
