Alcohol Now Allowed To Be Sold At More Locations In Cranford: See Where

Businesses will be eligible to apply for a permit that will cost $2,000 per year.

CRANFORD, NJ — Dinner and a show can now come with an adult drink at a new class of approved vendors for alcohol in Cranford.

The Township Committee unanimously approved Ordinance 2025-26 on Tuesday, allowing the sale of alcohol at nonprofit, art-house, and community theatres.

Businesses will be eligible to apply for a permit that will cost $2,000 per year.

"I am in support of this ordinance to continue our ever-growing, popular, and vibrant downtown," one resident said as he addressed the room before the adoption went to a vote.

The revised ordinance takes effect on Dec. 11 after its publication in the Westfield Leader.
