All Afternoon Activities At Cranford Schools Canceled Due To Storm

CRANFORD, NJ — Due to the impending inclement weather Monday afternoon, all after school activities and events are canceled at Cranford Schools, according to an announcement from the superintendent.

Severe thunderstorms, heavy rain, hail and lightning are expected to roll into the Cranford area Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Union County is under a severe weather outlook. The storm is expected to begin at around 1 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m., according to NWS.

Some storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds, and frequent lightning.

Summit Schools announced an early dismissal on Monday due to the impending weather conditions.
