Announcing The Tree Grove at Hanson Park
Cranford's jewel of a pocket park transforms a meadow to a Tree Grove.

Hanson Park Conservancy Tree Grove Project
The Hanson Park Conservancy is working on a project to rehabilitate the area of Hanson Park known as “the meadow” by planting a stand of native trees and shrubs. This is the area beyond and to the left of the Woodland Theater.
Several options have been tried and failed to yield the desired results. The first attempt was a grass meadow while the second involved planting a large amount of wildflower seeds. The objective is for the area to be filled with native plants that require little or no maintenance.

HPC is working with a landscape architect to come up with a planting plan to fill the area with native trees. We hope that HPC members and others in the community might be willing to participate by being a sponsor to defray some of the costs for this meadow tree grove project.
This sponsorship can be dedicated in memory or to honor a loved one. If you’d like to join HPC please visit our website at www.hansonparkconservancy.com. Please watch our Facebook and Instagram to learn more about this project as plans develop.
