Author David Rothenberg will speak about his book Fortune in My Eyes: A Memoir of Broadway Glamour, Social Justice and Political Passion on June 2 at Union Community College. Rothenberg's book takes a look at his experience as a Broadway publicist working with actors such as Elizabeth Taylor, Bette Davis, Richard Burton and more. After producing an off-Broadway presentation of Fortune in My Eyes, Rothenberg created the Fortune Society, a criminal justice advocacy and service organization. The book also details his roles as a social activist in prison riots and his other political passions. The presentation is part of the Union County College Alumni Association Author Series and will begin at 2 p.m. in the Roy Smith Theater at 1033 Springfield Avenue, Cranford.
