Suspect Charged for More Burglaries
The man charged with attempting to break into a home on Columbia Avenue in September was recently charged with attempting the same on Springfield Avenue.

Bryan Muscatello, 26, of Tabernacle has been charged with additional charges stemming from attempted burglaries in Cranford on September 18, according to the Cranford Police Department.
Muscatello has been charged with attempted burglary and criminal mischief for an alleged attempt to break into a house on Springfield Avenue. He was also charged with the possession of a burglary tool (in this case, an ax).
Muscatello had been previously charged with attempted burglary and criminal mischief for allegedly breaking into a home on Columbia Avenue on the same night. Police had received reports of an attempted break in on Springfield Avenue but did not catch the suspect until after the Columbia Avenue attempt.
The follow up investigation was conducted by Detective Robert Montague of the Cranford Police Department. Muscatello is still being held in the Union County Jail.
