Cocoa + Caroling: Holiday Tree Lighting Event Coming Soon To Cranford

The annual tree lighting will include a visit from Santa, hot cocoa, caroling and much more.

CRANFORD, NJ — 'Tis the season, and Cranford is gearing up for its annual Christmas tree lighting.

Featuring carolers and a visit from Santa, the tree lighting will take place on Friday, Nov. 25 at the gazebo on North Union and Springfield Avenue.

The event is hosted by the Cranford Area Chamber of Commerce and will take place rain or shine.

Here is the schedule of events on Friday:

  • 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.: Girl Scouts decorate
  • 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.: Chamber to distribute Small Business Saturday swag
  • 2 p.m.: Tree is ready for display
  • 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.: Caroling
  • 6 p.m.: Santa arrives and tree lighting
  • 6:15 p.m.: Pictures with Santa

Many local businesses and organizations are sponsoring pieces of the event, including Cranford Jaycees, Steven Manginelli Electrical Contractors, Downtown Cranford, Cougar Headquarters, Mane Event and Lightbridge Academy. It is also sponsored by the Union County Board of County Commissioners.
