Cranford Alum Named All-Star in Women’s College Lacrosse

Nikki Kleiman of Cranford was named to two all-star teams and the Player of the Year in the Landmark Conference.

Cranford’s own Nikki Kleiman had an outstanding sophomore season for the Drew University Rangers Women’s Lacrosse team, earning herself three notable accomplishments.

Kleiman, a 2011 Cranford High School graduate, was selected in early May to the IWLCA All-Region team as a first team honoree, two days later she was named the Landward Conference Player of the Year and at the end of May she was named an Eastern College Athletic Conference All-star.

She is recognized with putting together one of the top offensive seasons in Drew University’s history, according to the Landmark Conference.

She scored 88 goals in the 2013 season ranking her fifth in the country and she tallied 110 points for the second most ever in a single season, the Landmark Conference website detailed.

Kleiman is the first Drew University women’s lacrosse player to receive the Player of the Year award since Kara Fetter in 2004. This season, Kleiman surpassed Fetter’s goal record.

She is 7th in nation with a goals scored per game average of 4.89.
