Cranford Couple Brings New Breakfast Restaurant Downtown

Love for Cranford is one of the major inspirations, the duo said, for what drove them to open the business.

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford spirit is on full display at the new "Belle's Bagels."

Owners David and Cayla moved to the neighborhood three years ago, and told Downtown Cranford that the opening of this shop meant that their "dream became a reality."

Billed on their website as just "A place that loves bagels and Cranford," there is also a more personal touch for the duo for why they are embarking on this journey together.

Named after their daughter, Amelia Belle, the husband-and-wife team wanted to give something back to the neighborhood and their daughter for years to come.

"We really wanted to bring that home feel to this bagel store," Cayla added.

While they serve traditional New York-style breakfast sandwiches, you won't have to go far to get more of a classic New Jersey diner fare feel. French toast bagels with brown sugar butter and blueberry cinnamon swirl bagels are just two of the ways Belle's stands out.

Belle's Bagels opened its doors over the weekend of Oct. 18 at the former site of "Think D'Sign Print" at 11 North Avenue E.

More than 10 different varieties of bagels with the ability to customize each with chicken, eggs, and more are now available every day of the week from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
