With the current surge in COVID-19 cases, here's what to know about testing around Cranford.

CRANFORD, NJ — With the recent uptick in positive COVID-19 cases across New Jersey and the country, tests have become increasingly in demand and more scarce.
Union County has reported 859 new cases as of Tuesday, Dec. 28, and cases continue to rise due to the new omicron variant.
In the Township of Cranford's most recent update on Dec. 21, they urged residents to take precautions over the holidays, such as wearing masks indoors or at gatherings of large crowds, getting tested and vaccinated to protect family and friends from getting seriously ill.

The New Jersey Department of Health has recently began offering free at-home COVID-19 saliva test kits. UPS will ship the kit with next-day delivery, and a health care professional will virtually walk patients through the tests and answer questions.
