Niche.com ranked the best public high schools in the state of New Jersey.

Cranford High School has been named the 57th best public high school in the state of New Jersey by Niche.com.

Niche.com is dedicated to evaluating U.S. and Puerto Rican schools based on parent and student reviews. The site reported that parent/student surveys gave Cranford High School an A overall Niche grade.

The school lacked any A+ rankings, but received five A grades in academics, extracurriculars, health and safety, sports and fitness, and teachers. However, the school was lacking in student culture and diversity, scoring a C, according to Niche.com.

The website uses a very detailed set of methods to rank the top 100 schools in New Jersey. The site collected 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 New Jersey students and parents.

  • Students are very happy with their experience in all aspects including academics, teachers, health, safety, resources, facilities, extracurriculars, sports, and fitness;
  • District schools are exceptional academic institutions in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student outcomes;
  • District schools are made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture;
  • Students are actively involved in a variety of extracurriculars and sports the district offers.
