Cranford Police Make Drunken Driver, Drug Arrests

Police activity from December 10-17.

Cranford police stopped two vehicles for moving violations in the last week. The drivers were arrested for driving while intoxicated and drug charges.

Thursday, December 10:
Officer Eugene Perrotta stopped a vehicle on Walnut and Blake avenues for speeding at 1:25 a.m. Through further investigation the 27-year-old driver from Short Hills was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was also charged with speeding, careless driving and failure to change address on driver's license.

Monday, December 14:
Officer Thomas Bell stopped a vehicle on Orange Avenue for a red light violation at 4:35 p.m. Through further investigation the 25-year-old driver from Union was arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, CDS paraphernalia, CDS in a motor vehicle and failure to maintain headlights.
