Cranford Pool & Fitness Center To Open Outdoor Pools This Weekend

CRANFORD, NJ — As the weather starts to heat up, Cranford will open both Orange Avenue and Centennial Avenue outdoor pools for the summer of 2022.

Orange Avenue Pool is set to open on Saturday, according to an announcement from the township.

The Swim Pool Utility is in the process of repairing the outdoor pool pump at Centennial Pool, but the new pump will not be delivered until Wednesday. It is unlikely that Centennial will be open in time for Memorial Day weekend; the town anticipates it will open Saturday, June 4 unless there are unexpected shipping or mechanical issues.

Both pools will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. weekdays between May 31 through June 21 with the following exceptions:

Orange Avenue

• June 1 (rain date June 2)
• June 16 (rain date June 20)

Centennial Avenue

• June 10 (rain date June 13)
• June 21

Both pools will be closed on June 22 due to Project Graduation. The rain date will be June 23. Both pools are set to open full-time starting Friday, June 24.
