Cranford Public Library Adds More Hours
New schedule allows library to be open until 9 p.m. on some evenings.

Due to a tight budget over the past few years, the library had to cut down its hours, but now that some money has become available in the budget the library will be adding three additional hours per week.
The new schedule is as follows: Monday to Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Library Director John Malar noted, “What our patrons missed most were the late hours. Instead of closing at nine, which we had been doing for years, we began closing at eight. The new schedule restores the later closing time of 9:00 p.m. to Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays,” Library Director John Malar said.
Next year, the library is hopeful that they will be able to maintain these hours.
Beginning June 29, the Cranford Public Library will be closed on Saturday’s through the summer.
