
CRANFORD, NJ — A team of 96 runners hit 198 personal records during the Cranford Youth Cross Country season this fall.
The team features athletes ages six to 14.
At the Lakeland League Championships on Oct. 25, the "Boys 8-and-Under" team finished third, the "Girls 9-and-10" team finished fourth, and the "Boys 11-and-12" team placed fourth.

The "Boys 13-and-14" team finished second, just five points behind first place.
Multiple runners also qualified for the Regionals in Pittsburgh this year after their performances at the USATF New Jersey State Championships on Nov. 2.

"The athletes trained hard, supported one another, and represented Cranford with pride," said Head Coach Tim Styler. "The goal isn't to be perfect, but to get incrementally better, as an athlete and a person, every single day."
The Cranford Youth Track & Field season begins this spring for athletes ages six to 15. Kids will compete in shot put, long jump, and other track events.
