Dead Cat In Resident’s Mailbox Prompts Cranford Police Probe

Cranford police are seeking to identify an individual who placed a dead cat in an area mailbox. Have you seen this person?

CRANFORD, NJ - Cranford police are seeking to identify a person of interest who stuffed a dead cat inside a mailbox in town, authorities said.

The deceased cat was delivered by a beanie-wearing man to a single-family home at 12 Collins St. around 10:45 p.m. Monday, per a Patch review of public satellite imagery.
