Emergency Paving Causes Street Closure In Cranford

CRANFORD, NJ — Due to emergency paving to accommodate a signal repair, a section of Walnut Avenue in Cranford will be closed on Thursday starting at around 7 a.m.

Walnut Avenue will be closed between South Avenue and North Avenue, according to police.

Southbound traffic will be diverted to the one-way section of South Union Avenue, while northbound traffic will remain closed for most of the day, police said.

Drivers are advised to leave ample travel time during morning and afternoon commuting hours and strongly consider alternate routes.
