Enter To Win Cranford's 'Carve-Out' Contest Ahead Of Parade In October

Each pumpkin entered will be placed on display along the parade route.

CRANFORD, NJ — The 11th annual Cranford Carve-Out and Parade of Pumpkins is coming Oct. 18 to Hanson Park.

The free, public day of events is free to enter and features cash awards to the winners. Pumpkins will be judged in three categories: funniest, scariest, and most original. Each category will also be under three groups: ages four to eight, nine to 16, and 17 to adult.

Pumpkins should be already carved, and dropped off at Hanson Park (38 Springfield Ave.) between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Entry forms are available online by visiting the art studio's website.

All of the pumpkin entries will be illuminated and lined along the parade route, beginning at 5 p.m. The last entry to walk the parade will be at 8:30 p.m.

The day's events are sponsored by Jersey Central Art Studio in collaboration with Cranford Jaycees and the Hanson Park Conservancy.
