Field Hockey Team Raises $1,500 for Breast Cancer Cure
The Lady Cougars lost 4-0 to Arthur L. Johnson at the benefit game.
Cranford High School Field Hockey players raised over $1,500 to fight breast cancer during last night's Play 4 the Cure game against Arthur L. Johnson at Memorial Field in Cranford.
The game was part of a nationwide appeal for funds during October. Players raised money by selling wrist bands, seeking donations from friends and family, and donating profits from the last night's gate receipts and snack stand sales.
During halftime of the game, ten seniors were honored for the years of service to the program: Marissa Buzar, Sara Carolan, Maddie Johnstone, Hillary Joseph, Alexa Kravarik, Kristen Labbatte, Amy Negrin, Ali Przygocki, Beth Ramey and Mia Renna.
