Gas Work To Cause Delays In Cranford Starting Monday: Police

Elizabethtown Gas is starting its gas main replacement project along Orchard Street Monday.

CRANFORD, NJ — Elizabethtown Gas will begin working on a gas main replacement project in Cranford on Monday, according to Cranford Police.

The project will begin along Orchard Street on Monday. It will also take place along the following roadway limits:

  • Orchard Street- Brookside Place to Torbush Street
  • Orchard Street- West End Place to West Holly Street
  • Tulip Street- Spring Garden Street to Cul-de-sac
  • Ramsgate Road- Orchard Street to Cul-de-Sac

Police said the work will start on Ramsgate Raod.

The contractor anticipates work for ten hour days and will not work on Fridays during the course of the project.

The gas main replacement is anticipate to be completed by mid-October, police said. The service connection renewals is anticipated to be completed by end of November.
