Haunted Cranford History Tour Coming This Halloween Season
Residents are invited to take a stroll through downtown Cranford and explore some historically spooky locations... if they dare.

CRANFORD, NJ — Residents are invited to take a stroll through downtown Cranford and tour some historical, and spooky, locations from all centuries and decades this October.
The Haunted Cranford History Tour will take place on Oct. 1 where locals can listen to stories about the towns famous and infamous people who will make a special appearance from the "world beyond."
Even Cyrus Drake, the resident ghost at the Riverside Inn, may make an appearance. For those who don't know, the Riverside Inn opened in 1995 but has been a Cranford establishment since 1900.

Before it became Jake and Jocco's Riverside Inn, it was known as the Dive — the former site of Drake's landing and a resting ground for the Lenape Indians.
The tour is appropriate for all ages and just creepy enough to have you looking over your shoulder on the way home, the Eventbrite says.

All tours will depart from the front lawn of the Cranford Municipal Building at 8 Springfield Avenue. This is a walking tour, so attendees are told to arrive in appropriate attire for the hour long tour.
People must also arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled departure time. Attendees will find their marked time and line up as you wait for your tour to begin.
Tour guides will provide additional details upon arrival, as needed. Stroller children ages five and under are free. Pets are not permitted on the tour, and smoking and alcohol consumption is not allowed.
The tour is about one mile in length, and the rain date will be on Oct. 2.
You can purchase tickets on Eventbrite here, if you dare.
