Japanese Visitors, National Night Out This Week
The stories to look out for this week on Cranford Patch.

Here's what you need to know for the week of Aug. 5:
Visit from sister-city: Japanese officials meet with Cranford officials in a ceremony on Monday morning in the Cranford Council Chambers. Mayor Thomas Hannen will present the dignitaries with a plaque and proclamation.
National Night Out: The 30th annual National Night Out is this Tuesday night beginning at 6 p.m. Interact with Cranford Police, enjoy activities and maybe even donate some blood.
All natural: Ingrid Chuley of Cranford created an organic skin care line called Caseb Naturals featuring, soaps, body butters and the best-selling dragon’s blood balm. Look out for a feature on the brand on Tuesday.
Chamber Networking Event: Spots still available for the Chamber Member and One Source Solutions Networking event. On Aug. 6 all chamber members are invited to Montclair University for a BBQ, Networking event and Baseball game in Yogi Berra Stadium. On the roads: New Jersey American Water begun work on Springfield Ave. from Penn Road to West End Place yesterday, according to Cranford PD. Northbound traffic on Springfield Avenue will be detoured at Orange Avenue to Kenilworth Boulevard, while southbound traffic will not be impacted. All roadwork will be in the northbound lane and is expected to be complete in four weeks.
