Man Arrested In Car Shooting Death Of Union County Man
The months-long manhunt came to an end in Jersey City.

UNION CITY, NJ — A man was arrested on Wednesday in connection to the deadly shooting of an Elizabeth man in May, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office (HCPO) said.
Gerard Rosario, 28 of Jersey City, was arrested on 38th Street in Union City by members of the HCPO, Hudson County Gang Task Force, and the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
He is charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon in a vehicle, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and in violation of certain persons not to possess a firearm.

Rosario was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility where he awaits his first court appearance.
At around 4 p.m. on May 3, Jersey City Police responded to a vehicle crash near the intersection of Old Bergen Road and Merritt Street. They found Devon Reid, 39 of Elizabeth, unresponsive in the driver's seat of a car that had crashed into a tree.

He had also been shot in the neck.
Reid was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center where he was declared dead at around 7:16 p.m.
