Man Killed By Train In Union County Identified By Authorities

The man was trespassing along the tracks at the time of the crash.

CRANFORD, NJ - New Jersey Transit Police have released the name of the man who died on Tuesday after being hit while trespassing along the tracks in Cranford.

Brian Posch, 29 of Clark, was struck by a Raritan Valley Line train shortly before 2 a.m. that had left Newark Penn Station on its way to Raritan roughly twenty minutes prior to the crash.

All of the 25 passengers on board were evacuated and diverted to bus transportation to reach their destinations.
