Master Gardeners Of Union Co. To Hold Garden Fair + Plant Sale
All proceeds from the garden fair on May 15 will go toward funding a number of good causes around Union County.
UNION COUNTY, NJ — Spring has sprung and the Master Gardeners of Union County are hosting their annual garden fair and plant sale this May.
Held at the Trailside Museum in the Watchung Reservation, the garden fair will take place on Sunday, May 15 rain or shine. The proceeds from the sale will go toward helping a number of good causes throughout Union County.
The Trailside Museum is located at 452 New Providence Rd in Mountainside.

Purchasing plants at the garden fair will help the Master Gardeners provide the following free services to the public:
- Produce and give away to Union County food pantries and homeless shelters over 1,500 pounds of fresh, healthy produce from Master Gardeners' 1 acre garden
- Provide garden demonstrations and training in conjunction with the Trailside Museum's kids summer programs
- Provide answers to lawn and garden problems via the MasterGardener Free "Garden Help Line" at 908-654-9852
- Open Demonstration Gardens during Union County event like "Wild Earth Day" and "Rockn' the Reservation"
- Offer interesting docent-led tours of the garden
- Deliver educational presentations to local community organizations on request
Master Gardeners are working alongside ShopRite, Village Radio and Wakefern to make the event possible.
