Personal Trainer Certification Program Now Offered Through UCC
Union County College is offering a summer personal trainer certification program.

Turn Your Love of Fitness Into a Career as a Personal Trainer
Start a new career as a certified personal trainer through a certificate program offered this summer at Union County College. The job outlook for personal trainers is strong and several new gyms and fitness facilities have recently opened in New Jersey, creating new job opportunities. The Personal Trainer National Certification program at Union County College is offered together with the World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.) and the course is taught over a five-week period. The national certification exam is held on the sixth week and students who pass will be prepared to work as certified personal trainers in fitness centers, gyms, spas, or to start their own business.

This course combines lecture and hands-on practice to prepare students to pass the national certification exam. Students will also complete a 30-hour post course internship upon successful completion of the certification exam. This course will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. from June 4 – July 18 (no class on July 2 or July 4). The course tuition is $480.
