Road Work In Cranford To Impact Daily Commute Starting Thursday
Milling and paving on several roads in Cranford will cause road closures in town starting Thursday, Sept. 15. See affected areas below:

CRANFORD, NJ — Road infrastructure projects are set to begin Thursday, Sept. 15 in Cranford and impact residents' daily commute, according to an announcement from the Township.
Affected roads include Thomas Street between South and Lincoln, Lincoln Avenue East from Severin to Centennial and Lincoln Avenue East from Centennial to High Street.
Milling on these roads will begin on Thursday morning, followed by paving that should be completed by Tuesday, Sept. 20th, according to police.

The Police Department has requested that road closures begin after school arrival times to mitigate traffic congestion. In spite of that, the township said drivers should expect delays in the daily commuter hours and plan accordingly.
Police officers will be at these locations supervising the road closures.

Schools, residents and businesses have been issued notices by the company contracted by Elizabethtown Gas to complete the road resurfacing.
Paving will also occur in the Industrial Park on Commerce Drive and Jackson Drive. This roadwork is confined to only one side of the road, the Township stated, but delays can be expected during construction due to temporary alternating traffic patters.
Drivers are advised leave ample travel time during these affected days.
