Rock Yoga, Peace Fair, Syrup Making and More

What you need to know today in Cranford.

Rock Yoga: The 2nd annual “Rock Yoga Hits the Streets!,” well, hits the streets of Cranford this Friday at Eastman and Miln Streets at 7 p.m. Chair massages will also be given at the event.  All profits go to Cranford Family Care.

Make your own syrup: 
Canning Class at Dinner in a pinch on Aug. 3 features lessons on how to make your own infused syrup. Jenny Lichtenwalner of Charlie Thyme will teach you how to do it for just $50 each and participants will go home with a jar of their own homemade syrup (just bring a cooler to take it home in!) Peace Fair:
The 11th annual Union County Peace Council Peace Fair is this Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. at Clock Park at Eastman Street and North Avenue. Artists, musicians, poets, speakers, vendors and dancers will line the streets. Featuring a solar and bike powered PA system. Chamber Networking Event:
Spots still available for the Chamber Member and One Source Solutions Networking event. On Aug. 6 all chamber members are invited to Montclair University for a BBQ, Networking event and Baseball game in Yogi Berra Stadium. On the roads: New Jersey American Water begun work on Springfield Ave. from Penn Road to West End Place yesterday, according to Cranford PD. Northbound traffic on Springfield Avenue will be detoured at Orange Avenue to Kenilworth Boulevard, while southbound traffic will not be impacted. All roadwork will be in the northbound lane and is expected to be complete in four weeks.
