Take A Hot Yoga Class In Cranford To Support Ukraine

CRANFORD, NJ — Hot Yoga Revolution in Cranford is holding a workshop where 100 percent of the proceeds will go to Global Empowerment Mission — an organization supporting relief in Ukraine.

The yoga studio will host a "Breathe, Spine & Bandhas" workshop on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. It will focus on strength, stability and movement and will cost $40 per person. Global Empowerment Mission is a nonprofit that was founded in 2011 as a first responder to global disasters and is currently benefiting Ukraine relief.

Global Empowerment announced it will be establishing a welcome center in Medyka, which is located at the Poland/Ukraine border. This welcome center will serve as a travel relocation and aid center.

Their focus is currently on short-term vital necessities. The organizations "Bstrong fund" will help pay for booking flights and trains for Ukrainian refugees who have family in other countries they can stay with.

According to the organization, this will put less strain on Poland as all hotels are already full there. As these Ukrainians have nowhere else to say, the organization said this is the best solution to spread them out throughout Europe and not have them homeless.

With donations, Global Empowerment can help relocate thousands of women and children. Due to the Ukrainian Government Decree, all men from ages 18 to 65 cannot leave Ukraine because the military draft.
