Teen Entrepreneur Opens Protein Shake, Coffee Shop In Cranford
Craft Protein Bar offers a variety of shakes, coffees, teas, donuts and more — all packed with tons of protein.
CRANFORD, NJ — A nineteen-year-old entrepreneur recently opened her own business in Cranford, serving shakes, coffees, teas, donuts and more — all packed with tons of healthy protein.
Downtown Cranford held an official ribbon cutting for Craft Protein Bar last week. Owner Kamily Flores grew up in Elizabeth and is a full-time college student. She is also the oldest of five siblings, according to a post from Downtown Cranford.
Flores's parents began making healthier lifestyle changes a few years ago and ended up opening The Portein House in Elizbeth. Flores would often work their herself, which inspired her to open a business that would serve the same healthy options.

Customers can also enjoy tea and coffee drinks and Flores will be introducing mini protein donuts shortly. In the future, she’s also looking to add protein waffles and protein bowls, according to Downtown Cranford.
"I’m so happy that I get to open my business in Cranford," Flores told Downtown Cranford. "I like that there are a number of family owned businesses here. My parents came to this country when they were just 19 and they’ve given me so much. I wouldn’t be doing this without the example they set for me and my siblings of always reaching for your dreams."
Craft Protein Bar is currently open seven days a week, 7 a.m. to 6p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday.
