Cranford Mourns Loss of Educator, Budget Hearing, New Pottery Studio This Week
Here's what to look forward to on Cranford Patch this week.
The loss of a Cranford educator: Visitation for Carmela LaTorre Colosimo Assistant Principal of Orange Avenue School will be held Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home in Westfield. On Tuesday, mass will be at St. Theresa’s R.C. Church in Kenilworth, followed by entombment at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. Colosimo, 56, died Thursday due to cancer.
Get creative in Cranford: A pottery, glass fusing, and clay hand-building studio will be opening its doors this August on N. Union Avenue in Cranford. A husband and wife own “Fire Me Up Studio,” which will feature art classes and workshops for all ages as well as themed nights and events.
Budget: A public hearing will be held on the adjusted Cranford municipal budget at the June 11 council meeting. the committee will host an additional public hearing before voting on the amendments and submitting it back to Trenton.
