5th Annual Youth Fishing Derby Is This Saturday In East Brunswick
Children age 15 and under are not required to have a fishing permit for this special event.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Mark your calendars for a day of outdoor adventure. East Brunswick's popular Youth Fishing Derby returns for its fifth consecutive year.
The free community event will take place on Saturday, June 7 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Dallenbach Lake.
The Youth Fishing Derby offers children and families the perfect opportunity to experience the joys of fishing in a supportive environment, regardless of their experience level.

Participants can look forward to brief fishing lessons, information handouts, equipment checks, and friendly competitions throughout the morning.
Parents are reminded to bring their own fishing equipment, as rental poles are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Children age 15 and under are not required to have a fishing permit for this special event.

The derby will be supported by volunteers from local Boy Scout Troops and Packs, representatives from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish & Wildlife, and East Brunswick Recreation & Parks staff members, all of whom will be on hand to assist young anglers.
