Vietnam Vets Shares Their Stories, East Brunswick Public Library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center, East Brunswick, 2 p.m.

Of the 2.8 million military personnel who served in uniform in Vietnam, some 60,00 never came home. Those who survived returned to a hostile reception. It took decades for the United States to formally honor their services and commemorate the fallen. Come out to hear three Vietnam vets share their stories.

Women’s Rights: Equal or Not?, East Brunswick Public Library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center, East Brunswick, 2 p.m.

In this era of debate about equal pay for women in the workplace, scholar Dolores Meyerhoff will discuss how laws in the United States and the U.S. Constitution have been used both to deny and grant women their rights. During her 30-year career, Mrs. Meyerhoff taught in the East Brunswick High School social studies department, also serving as Chair of the department. She developed and wrote the curriculum for a women’s history course and was honored with the Governor’s Awards for Outstanding Teacher of History.

Harlem Wizards v. Chittick Cheetahs Basketball Game, 18 Norton Road, East Brunswick, 7 p.m. 

Enjoy a fabulous display of tricks, coordinated ball handling, fancy passing and aerodynamic athleticism combined with high-energy comedy and audience interaction. It’s the Harlem Wizards vs. The Chittick Cheetahs

EB Education Foundaton Book Fair, Barnes & Noble, Brunswick Square Mall
9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

Students and staff will share favorite books, written works and other presentations throughout the day.
