Cloudy Skies, Honoring Vietnam Vets Friday in East Brunswick

Friday looks to bring cloudy skies to the area giving way to rain later in the evening as we head into the weekend.

Elsewhere in town today, East Brunswick Public Library will host a program that allows the public to hear the stories and sacrifices of the soldiers who defended our country during the Vietnam War. 

Here's what you need to know for Friday.

1. Today's forecast calls for cloudy skies early in the day bringing a few showers to the area later in the day. The high for Friday is 54 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain. Overnight the temperature will drop to the low 40's.

2. The EBPL will present the program Vietnam Vets Shares Their Stories today at 2 p.m. There were 2.8 million military personnel who served in uniform in Vietnam, and 60,000 of them never came home. After decades, the United States finally honored their services to commemorate the fallen. Come to the library hear three Vietnam vets share their stories. The EBPL is located at 2 Jean Walling Civic Center in East Brunswick.
