Cultivating Social Change Through Art & Media

Take a deeper look at how art, specifically Indian classical dance, theater and Bollywood films, can shape our culture.

Learn how the arts and media can inspire social change during a free panel discussion on Thursday, March 7, at 7 p.m., in the East Brunswick Public Library.

Join panelists Navneet Bhalla, New Jersey Policy and Outreach Coordinator/Consultant, South Asian Americans Leading Together; Dr. Debotri Dhar, instructor of Women’s and Gender Studies at Rutgers University; and Ramya Ramnarayan, Artistic Director, Nrithyanjali Institute of Dance, while they discuss how the arts– specifically traditional Indian classical dance, theatre and Bollywood films–inspire social change in areas such as inclusiveness, opportunity and cross-cultural understanding. This great evening will be moderated by MaryEllen Firestone, Director of the East Brunswick Public Library and is sponsored by Enjoy Explore India, Agraj Seva Kendra and The Library
