As per the association’s leadership structure, LoSacco will serve one year in each successive vice-presidential role before ultimately being sworn in as State President.

“I am truly humbled and honored to have been given such an esteemed position,” LoSacco said. “I want to thank everyone who has supported me along the way. While my primary focus will always be on providing the highest level of police services to the residents of East Brunswick, I look forward to working closely with the executive board of the state association to maintain and advance the high standards of the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police.”

The NJSACOP plays a central role in shaping law enforcement across the state through training, accreditation, and legislative advocacy. Its flagship initiative, the Command & Leadership Academy, was launched in 1992 and is modeled after the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. This 13-week program has expanded beyond New Jersey’s borders, with sessions held in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and as far afield as Hungary and Botswana.

Another cornerstone of NJSACOP’s work is its Law Enforcement Accreditation Program, a voluntary certification that helps departments standardize operations, enhance accountability, and demonstrate commitment to professionalism.

Each year, the association hosts the Annual Training Conference and Police/Security Expo, drawing hundreds of law enforcement professionals for advanced training, strategic discussion, and the presentation of the Valor Awards, which recognize outstanding acts of bravery by officers and civilians alike.

LoSacco will be sworn in with the other executive board members at the Valor Awards ceremony.
