East Brunswick Cops Rescue Goose Entangled In Fishing Line
The goose was found on Dallenbach Lake on Sunday afternoon, police said.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Two East Brunswick police officers rescued a goose that was entangled in a fishing line on Sunday afternoon.
On Sunday afternoon, Lt. Glenn Tabasko and Patrolman Robert Theoret responded to Dallenbach Lake for the report of a goose that was stuck in fishing line, police said. On arrival, the officers found the goose swimming near the lake's bank.
The goose’s rear leg was tangled in fishing line, and it could not free itself, police said.

Using a large branch and a catch pole, the officers were able to control the goose and cut the fishing line from its foot. The goose appeared uninjured and was able to swim away, police said.
