“With all the upgrades to Tamarack Golf Course over the past few years, our vision to make it a premier golf destination in this region will become a reality,” Middlesex County Commissioner Director Ronald G. Rios said. “By investing in the quality of life of our residents, our entire community benefits, not only from an exciting recreational activity, but we’re also attracting new visitors and revenue to the County.”

Commissioner Charles E. Tomaro, Chair of the Infrastructure Committee, emphasized the health and recreational benefits of the upgraded facility. "Getting outdoors and enjoying our vast green spaces is the key to a happy and healthy life," Tomaro said. “Tamarack Golf Course was created with the residents in mind; it offers exceptional golf experiences at accessible rates, providing real value by simply living here. Whether you’re new to golf or a seasoned pro, Tamarack’s newly upgraded courses will keep you engaged and coming back for more.”

The project was funded through the Middlesex County Open Space Trust Fund, demonstrating the county's commitment to recreational infrastructure. Additional enhancements are planned for the future, including upgrades to the facility's façade and signage to improve exterior aesthetics.

Golf Design Consultant Mark Mungeam expressed enthusiasm about the renovated course's versatility. "The renovated course will be fun for all golfers, with enough strategic options and challenges to captivate the best players and beginners," Mungeam said. "Tee expansions allow the course to be played at any length from 4,900 to 7,000 yards. Though the corridors are the same as the original course, each hole has been completely rebuilt, and the nines have been reversed."

The renovated West Course sits on gently rolling terrain that winds through wooded areas and streams, providing what Mungeam describes as "a delightful setting" for golfers. The course's flexible design accommodates players at various skill levels while maintaining strategic challenges for more experienced golfers.
