East Brunswick Has A New Orchestra & They Are Putting On A Show
The East Brunswick Symphony Orchestra will be hosting its premiere performance on Jan. 21.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — If you want to enjoy a good musical performance, you don’t need to travel out of town. The Township has started a new adult recreational Arts program called the East Brunswick Symphony Orchestra.
The orchestra will provide high-quality musical performances and educational experiences for adult musicians and for the community to enjoy.
The East Brunswick Symphony Orchestra will be hosting its premiere performance on Sunday, Jan. 21, 3 p.m. at the Community Arts Center.

The initiative is a joint venture with the EB Recreation and Parks, and they will be working alongside EB Arts Commission, EB Arts Coalition, and Playhouse 22 to benefit the East Brunswick community, said Cheryl Brass, Executive Director of the EB Symphony Orchestra.
Speaking about the new professional ensemble and the upcoming performance, Brass said, “Several East Brunswick public school music teachers are also performing and the musicians include both residents and non-residents of East Brunswick. The East Brunswick Arts Coalition, East Brunswick Arts Commission and Playhouse 22 are all supporting this performance.”

The East Brunswick Symphony Orchestra is developing recreational music classes for residents and non-residents to enjoy learning a musical instrument, or to participate in a smaller ensemble such as a rock band or chamber groups through the Township Recreation Department.
“Also in development is a community orchestral ensemble that residents and non-residents can participate in which will also be available for enrollment through the Township Recreation Department. We invite adults of all skill levels and abilities to participate in these new musical offerings,” Brass said.
