East Brunswick Seeks Donations To Help Students Prepare For School Year

The township is collaborating with the Interfaith Clergy Council and the Recreation Department for the drive.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - East Brunswick community leaders are calling on residents to donate school supplies to help local students prepare for the upcoming academic year.

The township, along with the Interfaith Clergy Council and the Department of Recreation, Parks and Community Services, is sponsoring a school supply drive running through August 15.

Needed items include composition books, colored pencils, glue sticks, and washable markers. Donations can be placed in bins labeled "Food Drive Shed" located in the Recreation and Parks parking lot at 334 Dunhams Corner Road.

Here’s a list of items needed:

  • Looseleaf paper
  • Spiral notebook
  • 1-inch binder
  • Composition notebook
  • Crayons – 24 count
  • Color pencils
  • Pens and pencils
  • Highlighters
  • Glue sticks
  • Washable markers

Organizers also welcome gift cards to Target and Walmart, which can be dropped in the collection box at the front entrance of the Recreation and Parks Office.
