East Brunswick Walmart Debuts Improvements During ‘Grand Reopening’

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The East Brunswick Walmart has finally unveiled its new-and-improved look.

The Route 18 location celebrated a grand reopening - complete with a vision center, updated pharmacy and new checkout lines - during an event Friday.

Mayor Brad Cohen told Patch he was glad to see Route 18 retailers investing in their facilities.

"As the redevelopment process continues, the prospect of high-end retailers continues to help boost the need to remain competitive and increase the quality of services provided to East Brunswick residents and the surrounding communities," Cohen said.

During the reopening ceremony, awards were presented to tenured employees and checks were presented to the East Brunswick Fire Department, East Brunswick Police Department, Redeeming Children's Hope Foundation, Snuggles for Children and 4QE Mentorship Foundation.

"One of the most important things about our job is how we support this community through the products and services we offer and through all the ways we give back to the community," East Brunswick Walmart Human Resources Manager Aqsa Anwar said in a statement.
