
Robert Orban, ,78, a long time teacher at , died Tuesday, Aug. 21, at home.
Born in New Brunswick, he resided in South Brunswick for over 40 years.
He was a graduate of Northwestern University at Louisiana with a bachelor of arts degree in history and taught at EBHS for 27 years, retiring in 1989. After retirement, he was a court investigator with the Middlesex County Prosecutors Office in New Brunswick for seven years.

He was a member of the NJ Education Association, the National Education Association, and the East Brunswick Education Association; he was a former member of the South Brunswick Library Board, and was a member of the Old Bridge Rifle Club.
He was an Army veteran, having served during Peacetime.

Surviving are his wife, Constance Castello Orban; two sons, Kenneth and Kevin, both of New Brunswick; a daughter, Victoria and her husband, Brian Gardiner of Palmyra, Va.; a granddaughter, Allayna, and a cousin, Janice Orban.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 25, in the , 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
