Learn about the Medicinal Properties of the Common Weed
Herbalist Virginia Ahearn will visit the Library next week.
Don’t throw out your weeds…they might be medicine! Learn about the medicinal properties of the common weed during a visit by herbalist Virginia Ahearn on Monday, March 11, at 7 p.m. at the East Brunswick Public Library.
Learn how dandelion root helps reduce cravings and optimizes digestion; violet flower has anti-cancer properties; and chickweed is highly nutritious. Ahearn will not only talk about the medicinal properties of common weeds, but how to prepare them (or where to buy them) and how they can enhance our health. Ahearn has more than 20 years of experience studying and working with herbal medicine. Come to this free program see how you might find health benefits in your own back yard…literally! This program is sponsored by the Library’s Just for the Health of It initiative.
