NJ-18 Lawmakers Deliver $1.5M To East Brunswick For Water System Upgrades

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – Lawmakers from NJ-18 announced that they have secured state funding for vital projects in their townships, including East Brunswick.

Sen. Patrick Diegnan and Assemblymen Sterley Stanley and Robert Karabinchack said they secured $8.2 million for projects in their legislative districts as part of the state’s annual budget.

The 2026 budget was passed and signed by Gov. Phil Murphy on June 30.

East Brunswick will be getting $1.5 million for water main improvements across town.

“These investments reflect out commitment to the residents of our legislative district without a single penny for any of these projects coming from the pockets of property taxpayers,” Diegnan, Stanley and Karabinchack said in a statement.

“This state funding will support the replacement and modernization of ageing infrastructure, transportation, the rehabilitation of a community center, improvements to parks, a community pool and public library.”

Over the past five budget cycles, the trio have brought a combined total of $32.6 million in state funding for vital projects in seven towns.

The lawmakers also thanked Murphy and state leaders for helping them bring these dollars to the towns.
