Pedestrian Struck & Killed On Rt. 18 In East Brunswick

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A Pedestrian was struck and killed on Route 18 in East Brunswick, Police said.

The incident took place on Wednesday around 11:57 p.m. East Brunswick Police responded to the intersection of Route 18 northbound and South Woodland Drive for the report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.

The pedestrian was critically injured and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and remained at the scene of the crash.

Police did not reveal the identity of the pedestrian. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no further information was released by police.

Patrolman Patrick Lem of the East Brunswick Police Department Traffic Safety Section is conducting the crash investigation.
